International School of Turin
The International School of Turin (IST) located between Chieri and Pecetto in Italy, is a private college-preparatory school open to students from all over the world. Scheuten Solar produced eighty custom made glass-glass modules for integration in the roof of IST’s new and modern school building. IST represents the environmental goals of the city of Turin. Therefore a design combining aesthetics and energy saving was needed. With these clear goals Scheuten Solar designed the BIPV modules for this particular roof.
For this project Scheuten Solar used a clear PVB interlayer between the front and the rear pane of the glass-glass module, making it perfectly suitable for overhead glazing. A PVB interlayer in glass-glass modules adds flexibility to meet project specific requirements. Thanks to many years of experience with both glass and PV products Scheuten Solar was the right partner to come up with a solution for IST. Furthermore Scheuten Solar gave technical and project support to make sure the eighty modules were properly integrated into the 180 m² roof.
